Now accepting applications for the 2017-18 academic year!

Shadow a Student

Shadow Days are open to current eighth grade prospective students who have applied to Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School for the 2017-2018 school year and are interested in learning more about our exciting program.

Students are strongly encouraged to experience our school firsthand by shadowing a current Cristo Rey student. Our Student Ambassadors are eager to share their experience with you!

Shadowing at Cristo Rey gives eighth grade candidates the opportunity to:

  • Participate in college-preparatory classes
  • Eat lunch with the Cristo Rey Student Ambassadors and their classmates
  • Meet Cristo Rey faculty and staff
  • Meet with the Admissions staff

Shadow visits occur on Thursdays from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, October through February. You must submit an application and register with the link below or call the Admission’s office to attend.

Schedule Your Shadow Day

Please note that all prospective students must follow the Cristo Rey dress code and disciplinary code while on campus. Prospective students should dress as follows: navy/dress pants (no jeans or leggings allowed), closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes are not allowed), oxford type shirt, sweater or vest (in the case of cold weather).

As part of your Shadow Day, all prospective students will join their Student Ambassador at lunch. Students will not be allowed to go out of the school building to purchase food. You are welcome to bring your own lunch, if you prefer.
