Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School

Annual Giving Campaign

October 21, 2020

Patty and I are pleased and honored to chair Cristo Rey’s 2020 Annual Giving Campaign.    We know, without a doubt, that the mission and vision of Cristo Rey is transformational for the students and families that we serve. Hope is living at Cristo Rey.

We have witnessed the hope that is found in our students who come to campus each day empowered to grow, learn and dream. We see faith demonstrated in the tireless work of our faculty and staff who believe in the God-given potential of each student. We see boldness and determination in our Corporate Work Study Program, who continue to invest in our students. And we are ever grateful for the inspirational leadership of our religious sponsors, the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady, who recognize the gift and beacon of hope that Cristo Rey is for our community.

As a private, Catholic school, philanthropic support is critical to the success of Cristo Rey.  Your contribution is an active way of not only transforming the lives of our students and their families, but also strengthening our entire community.  All 2020 Annual Giving Campaign gifts go directly toward fulfilling the $1,020 tuition gap for each student that most of our families are unable to afford. Be a part of the Cristo Rey story. Thank you for your consideration.

Peace and All Good,

Patty Finan

“Our mission is to make the Kingdom of God concrete in the here and now, not merely to make things slightly better, but to effect transformational change at every level.  Our world doesn’t need a touch up, it needs total renewal.  May we have faith in a dream so ambitious as to border on the delusional. May our hope be so outrageously bold that people will laugh at us if they knew what we hoped for. May our love lead us to fly in the face of human logic and make us instruments in helping our King establish His reign to bring true and lasting happiness to all of America.”

Founder of the Cristo Rey Network

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us. – Romans 5:3-5
